We were ahead of Gotland.
Baltic Sea, 1993: Gunnar Goldenbaum and his long-time friend Wolfgang Mundhenke were ahead of Gotland at 30° Celsius and in the doldrums. Over a well-chilled beer on deck, the question arose whether they could do something together professionally. Wolfgang Mundhenke, who had been self-employed with a small practice since 1981, liked the idea. Gunnar Goldenbaum suggested bringing a third person on board who did not yet know of his good fortune: Axel Fresch (now a retired partner in an advisory capacity). Thus the foundation stone for today’s firm was laid: A group of three partners with five employees – a small start-up which, with combined power and a lot of know-how, was able to achieve client growth and success in a very short time.
We were in the right place.
Mundhenke & Partner GmbH Steuerberatungsgesellschaft was founded in Hamburg in 1995. Today, led by our four partners Gunnar Goldenbaum, Thomas Habermann, Katrin Jensen and Michael Schulz, we have grown into a company of tax advisors, three certified public accountants, a specialist lawyer for tax law and 25 employees. The focus of our advisory services is on national and international tax advice for medium-sized companies and their shareholders.
